How may I copy the configuration settings from Akelpad?

Hello
I have Akelpad installed in my computer, and it is perfectly configured. I have all the plugins installed and the editor is configured with several colors palettes I have configurad and with several plugins activated by some keystrokes.
I want to copy all these settings to the Akelpad I have in my laptop, which was recently installed but is not configured.
How may I do this?

I don't know where are you store ALL of your AkelPad's settings (INI or Registry), so in the most general case you should Copy the whole AkelPad folder + registry (HKCU\Software\Akelsoft) from your PC to your laptop.

Hello, copying the registry is a risky business. I have the Akelpad installed in the laptop, so I only need the keystrokes configuration and the color palettes for the editor. Is that also stored in the registry? or is it stored in the Akelpad installation folder?

1. Our whole life is a risky business. At the end, we can even die. Do you know about it?
2. See [Main menu] --> [Options] --> [Settings...] --> [Registry] --> [Save settings]:
(_?_) Registry (_?_) INI file

If "Registry" then you HAVE TO copy this HKCU\Software\Akelsoft.
If "INI file" then you can copy the whole AkelPad folder (the simplest way and my choice) or find and copy ALL ini-files (the main "AkelPad.ini" and some "..\AkelFiles\Plugs\@PluginName@.ini".
One @PluginName@.ini for each plugin (for example "\AkelFiles\Plugs\Hotkeys.ini" and so on).

Hello,
I think we are talking about different things. I thought you meant about the Windows registry (that is a risky business) but the program's registry is not so risky.
Okay... I go to...

There I have selected
(x) Registry ( ) INI file

Now you said...

I don't have any folder called HKCU ?
Where is it?

The program is installed in
C:\Program Files (x86)\AkelPad

3. On your PC:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
Locate and then click the subkey "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Akelsoft"
Click File, and then click Export.
In the File name box, type a file name to use to save the .reg file and then click Save.
On your laptop:
click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
Click File, and then click Import.
