change default shortcuts?

I use Akelpad heavily because it is so customizable, but as far as I can tell there is one thing not customizable: getting rid of the Esc key. The thing I hate most about Akelpad is the Escape key. When I'm working in the Multicopy function, I hit Escape by accident sometimes, and of course I lose all my work. I want to completely eliminate the Escape key for Akelpad, but I can't seem to do it.

I use the Hotkeys plugin, and I added the following entry:
IDM_FILE_EXIT Command(0) Hotkey: None
This now shows up in my main "Hotkeys Plugin" window, but has no effect whatsoever. When I press Esc, the multicopy window still exits.

How can I get rid of this behavior?

Try Exit plugin.

"Exit plugin" does not modify the behavior.
AkelPad = 4.9.9 x32
Exit plugin = 4.5
Win10x64

I have changed all the check boxes, the result is always the same - closing AkelPad

Было бы здорово, если при нажатии "ОК" и выключенности плага выдать сообщение "Включить плаг?". Потому что теоретически если пользователь применяет, то значит он сделал изменение, а это подразумевает работу плага, а значит в 99% есть необходимость во включенном плаге. То есть если не включен плаг то абсурд и надо напомнить пользователю.
В Notepad++ активация движков над их настройками, если не отметил "Включить", то не можешь изменить настройки, они не активны.
