AkelPad

I am using v4.2.1.
with ALT+W,I can not open "window".
ALT+F;ALT+E;ALT+V,...are valid.

The shortcut key(Alt+W) of AkelPad is invalid. Am I wrong?

Yes, you are sort of correct. I have a tip in the User Manual (under Menus) which says:

Tip: The Alt+W combination is already assigned in AkelPad (reopen file as ANSI/Windows)! To open the Window menu using the keyboard, do the following:

Press Alt key to display shortcut keys
Release Alt key (shortcut keys should remain visible)
Press W key

Hope this helps! There are many "hidden" features and fixes in the User Manual which I have discovered in preparation.

That would be the best way to deal with this; you need to convince Instructor!

You can change the key in your copy of AkelPad, using Resource Hacker - again, see User Manual, Appendix D. Unfortunately, you may need to modify each new version of AkelPad (.exe) as it is released, or you could modifiy the language DLL and set AkelPad to that language. The modified DLL could be re-used for newer versions, until a new DLL is released.
