I love the "Recent Files" feature, but is there a way for me to assign, say, 10 or so files of my choosing to a similar, sticky list of Frequently Opened Files?

See ContextMenu AkelPad plugin, there is a Favourites() in menu item, you can create what you want.

No there is also a way to see all the opened files + favourite files + recently opened files in the same list. See "GoToAnything.js" + "GoToAnything.fav" here:

I also love the last files function, and there is a way to assign more than 10 files, you can assign a maximum of 45 files to yourself, unfortunately I can't do it, I know because I tried
