AkelPad

Hi,

Thank you for AkelPad. I get happy when I see such modular/customizable/extensible software. I tried to do a difficult, resource-intensive task using many text editors but AkelPad blew them all away! I asked myself how I could have miss this gem! Thanks again for it.

I would very much like it if AkelPad could support RTL or bidirectional text:
- Arabic letters appear separated. They shouldn't be. (Setting PaintOptions=1 helps in viewing but it goes berserk when trying to select.)
- Layout direction can't be changed into right-left.

Multiple other open-source text editors support it if you need examples on how to do it. I can do my best to help if you need.

I really hope you would consider this.

From what I can make of Russian, it says use PaintOptions or AkelPad 3.

I do use PaintOptions already:

The problem remains in selection and RTL page view mode. I don't really want to miss out on all the development that came with AkelPad 4.

Manual settings
