Hello!

I use Segoe UI 10 as my default font, and I would like to display more lines per page.

Other fonts seem to have more narrow line spacing. A lot of space is wasted with Segoe UI 10.

I cannot change my font because all my texts are formatted in Segoe 10 and have tab stops. Everything would be a mess if I change my font to something else as Segoe UI 10.

I can choose line gap 0, 1, 2, ...

Would it please be possible to

I) give more precise steps? for example, allow 0, 0.1, 0.2 , ... , 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 , ....
(or at the very least 0.5, 1, 1.5)?

II) more importantly, to solve my problem: allow NEGATIVE values to draw lines nearer to each other?
E.g. -0.1, -0.2, ...
or -0.5, -1, -1.5?

This would be fantastic and result in a lot of added productivity.

It would also be great if there were a shortcult to change line spacing in +/- steps of 0.5.

1.) Thanks. Would "-1" be possible though?

2.) I would also like to ask how difficult it would be to add zooming to Akelpad (NOT font size change). The result of zooming should be that TAB STOPS remain intact. When changing font size, TAB STOPS etc. will not be changed proportionally and text files will not look identical at every zoom level.

PS I can imagine that zooming this will become even more important as a wide range of resolutions emerges: 768p (HD) ... 4k. Switching between these resolutions (and varying desktop zoom level) causes all kinds of problems with text formatting when no zoom correction is available in the editor that will retain for every magnification the arrangement that is displayed at a 100% zoom.

thanks a lot for your efforts.
Sadly, it produces problems:

The lower line's white area will overlay the the upper lines area. E.g. a "g"
will be cut off at the bottom.

Perhaps one can solve it with transparency? Or by removing white areas of the font where no black character lines will ever be?
