AkelPad

That would be cool if someone could code plugin which makes AkelPad in an instant look like this popular writing app.

But I'd prefer to use AkelPad for all my writing needs and not install any additional software.

If a centered column of a coloured text on a coloured background in fullscreen is all you wanted then you should use the following settings:

- Set Options->Settings->Editor->Text margin value to whatever you like in order to make a centered column with required width.

- Change colors using View->Colors dialog.

- Run Fullscreen plugin.
