I use AklePad on a USB Flash Drive and so configure it to keep it's settings in AkelPad.ini rather than the windows registry. The recent file history is written to the registry even so. It would be great to have recent files written to the ini file. Otherwise preferences seem to be remembered perfectly in the ini file
This is the best little notepad that uses a tabbed interface I've found without being bloated as so many others are. Very well done  |

| If you set "recent files" and "search history" to zero, AkelPad will not use registry at all. |
