Hello
Akelpad usually detects my files correctly as UTF8 if they are UTF8, but today I have three files that Akelpad insists are ANSI, even though they clearly are not (there are non-ANSI characters in the file which display correctly if I load them in Babelpad as UTF8).
How can I tell Akelpad that the files are definitely UTF8 and should be opened (and saved) as UTF8? My codepage recognition is set to Western European and I've increased the buffer tenfold, and my other default settings are all UTF8.
In the end, I used Babelpad to edit these files, but I often edit these types of files in Akelpad and I've never had this problem before.
Alternatively, can anyone recommend a simple alternative text editor?
Samuel
