Plugin changes between 4.9.7 and (upcoming?) 4.9.8

Post by tmsg »

Has the plugin interface between 4.9.7 and the current head in CSV changed?

IOW, if I want to recompile AP with the current sources but not the plugin DLLs, will that work?

I know :) I've tried the same and I've seen no immediate malfunction... However, I use many plugins and only self-compile two, log and session.

As I have not checked the other plugins in depth (and also not their source trees), an "official" statement from Instructor would be welcome.

When Instructor changes something valuable that can cause problems, he will change plugin architecture version. When AP "sniffs" for plugins, it ask plugin which architecture version and AP version it supports, and makes conclusion about safety. If it is not safe - AP will warn(Message Box) about bad plugin.
