File opened via UNC path trigger false "file modified&q

Post by luckman212 »

hello,
first of all thank you for the excellent Akelpad editor!
It is my default editor in most cases, very fast and elegant.

Question today is: I have opened a file from a UNC path
e.g.

\\machine\folder\file1.txt

when editing this file, as soon as I switch to another application and then come back to Akelpad, I get the message "the file has been modified outside, do you want to reload it?" -- but I have not modified the file. I checked the timestamps on the file both via windows explorer --> properties as well as on the host itself (which is a linux server running samba) and the timestamps have not changed.

I found that enabling the option from the Options menu --> "Save file time" seems to make this problem disappear.

but I couldn't find the reason or meaning of this option, I just want to make sure this is not a bug or that I am doing something wrong. My OS is win7 x64 by the way and Akelpad v4.7.4 with all updates applied.

thanks :D

Can you test the following version without "Save file time" option. What number will be shown in message?
