Running 471 in WinXPproSP3x86...

On several occasions now, I have opened a txt file created and saved in AkelPad to discover all uppercase text has been changed to lowercase. This occurred today on a file I back up weekly. This forum doesn't seem to allow attachments so I can't post up the screenshots I created of the fubar'd file and its backup of three days ago.

FWIW, here're actual copy/pastes of a few lines from a rather large text file I use to store various and sundry minutia :

filtration parts bought feb 2010
pentek p1 sediment filter (9-3/4" x 2-3/8")
pentek cbr2-10r water filter (9-3/4" x 2-7/8")
watts flowmatic fh4200cw12 clear housing (1/2" npt)

Filtration parts bought Feb 2010
Pentek P1 Sediment Filter (9-3/4" x 2-3/8")
Pentek CBR2-10R Water Filter (9-3/4" x 2-7/8")
Watts Flowmatic FH4200CW12 Clear Housing (1/2" NPT)

I don't see that as a fix in 472 or 473 so I'm thinking going to the latter won't be a fix. Cheers.

You probably press convert to lower case shortcut Ctrl+7.
