Sorry that no one answered your question yet... I have been following the forums closely for more than a year now, and have seen many "suggestions" go un-answered.

Currently, AkelPad does not support code folding, either natively or through a plugin - this would be a great feature for programmers. But AkelPad is not just aimed at programmers - many people use it (I'm sure) for editing documents, etc. which are not programming-related, myself included.
