Despite INI file, 2 settings are stored in the registry

Post by TheDutchJewel »

In Options > Settings > Registry, I enabled the option to save settings in an INI file.

But the list of recent files and search history are also stored in the registry:

Code: Select all

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Akelsoft\AkelPad\Recent
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Akelsoft\AkelPad\Search
Deleting these registry keys does not matter: the next time Akelpad simply inserts them again.

Is it possible to prevent these registry keys from being used when using an INI file?

I am using the latest version of Akelpad: version 4.9.8.

AkelPad 4.9.9 development version contains a separate option for this. While it's not an official release, it is already more stable than the 4.9.8.
It can be downloaded here:
http://akelpad.sourceforge.net/files/AkelPad.zip
http://akelpad.sourceforge.net/files/AkelPad-x64.zip

The updated documentation and the language files (translations) can be found here, search for the archive name "AkelPad_r4423.zip":
